Viewing and Adding Open Roles to Your Organization

View Open Roles within your organization and your team on both the Org Chart or on Open Role pages.

To add open roles, you must be an Administrative user.

Add an Open Role manually from the Org Chart:

  1. Go to the Add/Edit selection on the toolbar on the Org Chart

  2. Select “Create Open Role” from the dropdown

  3. Fill in the name of the role and who the role reports to(if the role has a manager)

  4. Click “Save and Create” and your done!

For every Open Role that is created, Sift automatically creates an associated Sift Page that will house information about the Open Role and is fully customizable. View information about Pages here.

To edit an Open Role from the Org Chart:

  1. Go to the role within the Org Chart

  2. Select the three dot menu on the bottom right of the card

  3. Select “Edit Open Role”

  4. Make any necessary changes and don’t forget to save!

Open Roles are also editable from the associated Open Role page, in order to view editable actions make sure you have admin access or have been given permission on the associated page from an admin

.

To delete an Open Role:

  1. Go to the role within the Org Chart

  2. Select the three dot menu on the bottom right of the card

  3. Select “Delete Open Role”

  4. Confirm your deletion and then the role will disappear.
